Palmako Lotta 3.9m x 3.9m Log Cabin Garden Room (34mm)

The Palmako Lotta (101694) is a 3.9m x 3.9m (13ft x 13ft) apex log cabin with a base footprint of 3.8m x 3.8m. That gives you a solid square floor plan with enough internal space for a proper home office setup or a comfortable summerhouse. It is built from 34mm Nordic Spruce interlocking logs with tongue and groove construction and wind braces throughout for structural rigidity.

The walls are solid 34mm interlocking logs. The floor is 19mm tongue and groove strong and durable underfoot. The apex roof is also 19mm tongue and groove with a small overhang for weather protection. Note: roof covering is not included and must be selected separately from the options menu. The cabin arrives untreated.

The front elevation features glazed double doors with a laminated door frame that laminated finish resists cracking and handles temperature extremes better than standard frames. A cylinder lock is fitted as standard. Real glass glazing lets in good natural light. Electrics are not pre-wired but cables can be routed by a qualified electrician.

A 5-year manufacturer's guarantee is included. Apply an anti-fungal treatment on assembly and annually to maintain it. This is a well-built square cabin that works hard as a home office or garden room.

The Palmako Lotta uses 34mm interlocking Nordic Spruce logs solid timber throughout with no hollow cavity. Logs interlock at the corners in an authentic chalet style with straight cut ends. Glazed double doors use real glass with laminated frames that resist cracking under temperature change. A cylinder lock is fitted as standard.

A solid level base is required before installation. A concrete slab or paving slabs are suitable. No base is supplied with the cabin. A 12x12 plastic shed base kit is available as an optional extra it uses interlocking recycled plastic grids laid onto firm level ground with pea gravel beneath for drainage.

The cabin is delivered flat packed and assembled on site. Two people are required. The interlocking log construction means logs stack and interlock in sequence. Tongue and groove design and wind braces are built into the system. No specific build time is stated but a full day should be expected. Instructions are supplied. Roof covering must be purchased and fitted separately.

A professional installation service is available. Base preparation and electrical work are not included in any installation service and must be arranged separately. Solar lighting installation is also excluded. Contact the supplier for details on lead times and what the service covers.

No wiring or electrical components are included. Cables can be routed into the cabin by a qualified electrician. No pre-fitted conduit or cable routes are stated. All electrical work must be arranged and carried out separately by a competent person.

Apply an anti-fungal timber treatment on assembly and repeat annually this is required to maintain the 5-year guarantee. Four bottles of Timmersol are recommended for this building. Check and clear the roof covering annually. Clean the real glass glazing regularly. Inspect log joints and the roof covering each year for wear.

The 3.8m x 3.8m base gives you a generous square floor plan. As a home office you can fit two desks with room to spare for storage shelving or a filing cabinet. The space also works well as a hobby room or art studio. A small sofa and coffee table would fit comfortably for use as a garden retreat. For a home gym you could fit a rowing machine, weights bench and floor mat with space to move. The double doors make moving furniture in straightforward.

This cabin has an eaves height of 1820mm and a ridge height of 2450mm. In England most garden buildings with eaves under 2.5m fall within permitted development and do not need planning permission.
